We are cruising the 11-night Ultimate Caribbean on Horizon on 10-26-98 for our honeymoon. We are both 1st time cruisers. Can anyone offer any helpful tips. Maybe someone out there is even going on this same cruise.

If the groom is renting a tux, and it is a conventional type of tux, not morning dress, see if the rental period can be extrnded for 11 days so he can use it on formal nights. This will add a touche of class to your honeymoon. The food is excelent on this ship and don't be afraid to try something you have never had before. You can always send it back and get something that you know you will like.

Have a great time.

John

I have not been on the Horizon, but I do have
a couple of suggestions for first time sailors who are honeymooners... First make sure your travel agent tells the cruise line that you are honeymooners because you will usually get a special gift from the cruise line in your cabin (champagne, fruit etc.), and you will probably get a special note from the captain, possibly inviting you to a reception with other honeymooning couples.

Also, if it is important to you that you have
a table just for two at dinner, make sure that your travel agent requests that for you at the time of booking. And then as soon as you board the ship on embarkation day, go immediately to the dining room and check with the maitre d' to make sure your table is correct. Ask to see which table is yours and if you see another one you would rather have, ask for it. Remember to be very nice and tell the maitre d' that it is your honeymoon and you want everything to be just right. Then, don't forget to tip him at the end of your trip. Have a wonderful time!

I cruised on the Horizon Aug 2 to Bermuda. It was my first Celebrity cruise, I am partial to Princess but go at cruises with an open mind. The Horizon is a beautiful ship, the food good and the service staff excellent. We had some problems with the matre'd and getting our luggage, but overall, it was a great trip. One thing I did not like, which I understand that Celebrity is changing was the alternative restaurant. Really missed it.

Have a wonderful honeymoon!
