Patrick, I was born and raised in Odessa. Still remember Odessa Sky when she was "simply" Odessa. By the way, do you know anything about these former BLASCO vessels: Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Franko (cruised twice on her - Shevchenko, Franko, and Shota Rustaveli are all sister ships of Lermontov and Pushkin/Marco Polo), Gruziya, Armeniya, Pert Perviy? It's been 7 years as I left Odessa, but I'm still very interested in fate of old BLASCO ships. PS: Wanted to share with you all folks, that my family had a cabin booked on a last sailing of ss Admiral Nahimov (ex-Berlin). Thank God, my mother could not get that week of and we didn't go. Are you aware at all about this "Russian Titanic" story? Anyways, thank you for providing us with such interesting details.
