The new MILLENNIUM will be doing its maiden cruise on the 17th June, starting in Amsterdam and doing the Baltic Sea for two weeks. It´s going to stay in Europe for the summer season before doing the Transatlantic crossing from Genoa to New York on the 3rd November.
There are no real pictures of the ship available yet since it´s not yet finished at the yard. But you can already see some real good drawings on the Celebrity website and in the brochure.
It´s going to be a fantastic new ship which, although is 92000 tons large, looks very elegant with the blue hull featuring golden lines and a white superstructure.
The MILLENNIUM, as well as its ordered sisterships INFINITY and CONSTELLATION, is constructed on the same hull like RCI´s new RADIANCE OF THE SEAS and BRILLIANCE OF THE SEAS. But the inside decor will be different and all together the ship will show up with the unmistakeable real Celebrity-style.
Be surprised ! If you like Celebrity Cruises, you´ll enjoy this new addition to the fleet.

Thank very much for the info.
I looked at the construction pic and from what I see it looks like there is still a lot of work to be done in order to finish her, I don't know if to book a cruise on a ship that is not finished yet.
Any advice?

Thank you so much for the picture of the Millennium I, under construction! My husband and I plan to book on her in Feb.2000 to the Eastern Caribbean. I love the glass elevators that run along the OUTSIDE of the ship, so you have a view of the ocean!
