I just found an article in the Miami News. Someone saw a white man jump off Carnival's Jubillee, Tuesday, April 4, in the middle of the night. After a long search, the man was never found. http://www.msnbc.com/local/WTVJ/212730.asp

So, do we say that this gentleman was over joyed with the Jubilee or did he go overboard with Jubilee.

He was probably sloshed...Drunk...drugged out...He was probably mad that they covered the pool and wanted to take a swim.

The first and the last time I cruised Carnival I had a notion to jump and swim over to a Celebrity ship nearby. But then I thought about it for awhile and ordered another beer.

Ascendacy, I hated to read your unkind remarks about Carnival. We just returned (4-6-00) from a cruise on the Fantasy and have no complaints whatsoever. The food was delicious, the entertainment was great and the service was everything that we had hoped for. I have read on this site about children running wild on other cruises but we saw none of that. Our embarkation and debarkation was done very efficiently. The passenger talent show was my favorite activity and our curise director, Valerie, was a charmer. You must have had a really bad experience.

Nice to hear from another Carnival supporter on this board as we are few and far between.

No matter what the Cruise Line though, just keep cruisin'.

There are three of us that enjoy Carnival - had a wonderful cruise on the Destiny a couple of years ago, the cruise director, John, was the best we ever had. Food and entertainment and everything was really great. Never saw anything like what was going on RCI, in fact after that horrible cruise we decided not to cruise with RCI for awhile and we've booked our next cruise on the Inspiration for Jan.

I can see why people knock Carnival if they haven't been on them in awhile. We went on the Holiday in 1994 and it wasn't so good, food and service were pretty bad. But then 1n 1997 we went on the Tropicale and things were great. Food was much, much better, buffets were vastly improved and the staff was super friendly and happy. That cruise turned me around on Carnival.

Well I post my ballot for Carnival too! I've sailed on Carnival, Princess, Royal Caribbean and Norweigian cruise lines.
My favorite hands down is CARNIVAL! They all have good and bad, just as we all have good and bad days.

You Carnival bashers need to keep your negative opinions to yourselves! Yes Carnival has had a few bad instances but they have compensated passengers for the bad. Things happen beyond their control. Do you REALLY THINK that they want mechanical difficulties...DAH...it's their livelihood people! Do you all live in PERFECT worlds where nothing ever goes wrong or breaks or you never have a bad day? If so tell me where I can jump on the bandwagon!

Carnival provides a great cruise experience for a nominal price. I recently sailed on the Triumph in December and the Paradise just last month and can honestly say the product just keeps getting better and better.

I think there are some people that nothing will please them unless it's nothing less than perfection. Well guess what people? We DON'T live in a perfect world and things can and will happen.

Carnival is the largest cruise line in the world....and GROWING, therefore they must be doing something right for a lot of people and I'm happy to say I'm one of em!

A cruise vacation is what YOU make it!

Uncle, Uncle!
I had some good experiences with Carnival.
I had some really bad ones too. I enjoyed Ballroom dancing on the show stage. That was great!
The crowd tends to be a little younger. More partiers and more drunks. This is my biggest beef. My one time cruise on Carnival was not that bad, really. One passenger jumping ship in the night just doesn't surprise me on this cruise line.

We were pleasantly surprised about the age range of the passengers on board. A 78 year old lady participated in the passenger talent show with original poetry. The age span on this ship covered all areas. The only obviously "tipsy" person was a lady who was at least 60! My group ranged in age from 46 - 52 which seemed to be the predominant generation. I will recommend Carnival to anyone with no reservations! It was definitely worth every penny that it cost. Thanks for hollering Uncle, Ascendancy!

It all comes down to what you're looking for in a cruise experience.

This was our first cruise so I really don't have anything to compare it with. We do plan on trying another line but I can't imagine it being any better. I liked the animals that our cabin steward made out of towels. We never knew where we would find one. One evening a monkey was hanging from our light. The entire experience was delightful!

Your right Molly. I forgot about how good our cabin steward was on Carnival. We collected all the little animals he made and displayed them on the top of the closets. That was one aspect that dissapointed us on our last NCL cruise, since it was supposedly an upscale(or so I thought) cruise line, the cabin Steward was not as good as I had expected(not one little animal out of towels)

Carnival Bashers! Darn them! Listen I think Carnival is a wonderful CL.I have sailed on
Tropicale, Holiday, Destiny, Paradise,
Ecstacy, Triumph, Sensation and Facination.
The only ship I would rather wait till they improve is the Holiday.Carnival is the BEST.
I am booking a cruise on Imagination.I want to sail on all of their ships
