Since I'm kind of new at this bulleton board stuff, I'm not sure if it's okay to reference other sites. Please let me know if I'm breaking any rules but the Cruisemates message board has several messages relating to problems on the Millennium.
It appears there are electrical, plumbing, and engine problems. They had stopped the engines for a period of time and were 'stranded' at sea but now the ship just docked in Rostok and will be there til midnight. Apparently they are skipping the Stockholm stop and going to Helsinki next. Of course that is if the problems are solved.

If anyone else knows more about this please let me know as I on the July 29 cruise and hope all will be well by then. There has been some talk about the ship being sent back to the shipyard but I assume this was just initial panic and speculation chit chat.

As an aside, mention was also made that the ship, service, and food were great but the embarkation was a nightmare. Again any further info on the problems here would be appreciated.

This was sent via E-Mail from a passenger on the Millennium at 6:33 last evening...
We are DEAD in the water for 5 hours. The captain came up an announced that they were having engine or propellor problems, and that they would have to go to Rostock, Germany for repairs instead of Stockholm.
Then there was an updated E-Mail...
We were supposed to dock in Germany, but are once again stranded in the water outside of Germany because of engine failure. This delay will at least delay the arrival in the next port Helsinki, and they will definately miss Stockholm. There are many upset passengers.

Latest E-Mail from a different passenger on the Millennium at 7:22 am...
Well, we are moving , at least. Many got off for a walk around Rostock. We missed Stockholm. Very disapointing, but I know these things can happen. The ship does still have many problems, but it looks very pretty and problems (like plumbing)seem to get taken care of somewhat quickly. I don't know any of the details of the engine trouble, just that it seems to be working now!

Has anyone heard whether the Millenium is rid of her problems and is back on schedule, or are they still "adrift"...

The latest word this morning... They are currently in Helsinki. She says that the captain announced that they will now include Stockhom again! Helsinki today, then Russia, then Sweden, Estonia, etc. There were many cheers on board with the news.
So, I hope this means that the bugs are all worked out? Hope so! It is expensive to use the Internet cafe on board. .95 cents per minute!

I was shocked to hear about the Millinium problems. Four of us are sailing on the Millinium on March 25th to the Western Carribean. I'm feeling a bit nervous about this now. The only other cruise we have ever been on was the Century and had a pretty good experiece. The only thing that happended there was our friends were not ont he ship log. Even though they had their ticket and everything. Everyone was really scrambling to get them a room. Etc. It was very upsetting. We did not land up being close to them at all. It even affected your dining table and everything. No one can figure out how that happended. So I am worried about something else happening on the Millimium. Thanks

We are going in January and I am not a bit worried! I'm sure they will have all the problems ironed out by then!
