Reports and reviews on the new Pacific Sky cruises seem to be very few and far between.
Has anyone been on her and what are your impressions? Is this ship, at last, offering good value cruises from Sydney, Australia?

Hi

I went on the Pacifc Sky in nov 2000
and wrote one of those reviews.
It's not brand new but, It's like the
QE2 compared to the old Fairstar.
Loved the trip, staff great, food pretty
good, and boat big enough not to be very
crowded even with 1,500 people on it.
If you can save so money it's well
worth the trip.

Have you had any ads on T.V. yet
over there.

i was on the inaugural cruise of pacific sky back in november and found it to be an excellent ship. layout of the public rooms could have been better with passenger flow, but still a great ship.
there were a lot of complaints about the ship not being ready in time for that sailing, but im sure these problems have been rectified by now.
juddy im not from overseas, im from sydney, but ive seen the new ads on tv for the ship. when we were sailing on here there was a tv helicopter filming the outside of the ship for at least 1/2 the day, it looks like the filming was for that ad.

the Pacific Sky is a good ship. Like Fair Princess, most of the crew are indonesians. Overall, everything is good. Destinations, food, beverages, service, entertainment is all good...
things that could inprove are accomadaions, and the public areas eg bars and lounges

but all up, good
