Hey Dan, really the choice depends on whether you want to do the eastern or western caribbean. I JUST got off the Voyager last Sunday and it was my second time on the ship..really enjoyed it. The ship is still in beautiful condition and they have improved upon the food. It is very good.
Both ships are great especially if you are an active person. They have great Ship shape classes, a good fitness center and the rock climbing wall is alot of fun...even if you don't get very far up the wall!
The Western caribbean is more sports oriented as far as the ports of call, while the eatern seems to be more beach and shopping oriented.

Don't forget Dan that you actually have a third choice for next year...Adventurer of the Seas will be doing the Southern Caribbean, my favorite part of the caribbean. As far as getting a cheap price, it won't be too cheap because these are very popular ships, but your best bet is an internet cruise travel agent. Post again if you have any other questions.

Hey Thanks! But, when someone from my dads work went on Majesty of the Seas when they came back they said that a ship with a rock climbing wall was moving to Tampa ( 1 hour away from me). So I supposed it is Voyager because next year is Adventure and Navagatior of the Seas are being added to the Voyager class. The person also said that it would be doing 5day cruises... Is this too good to be true?! Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan! I sailed in the Explorer in February and enjoyed it to a point. I was traveling in a group of about 20 people all of which had been on the Voyager the year before. They all agreed that the Voyager was the better of the two in terms of food, appointments, and service. I myself found the explorer to be a little to isolated from the sea and large for my likeing. Some of the crew was very rude when they actually asked me for their tips (our cabin stewardess) or snubbed me on the last day of the cruise such as Monica the dining room head waitress. She actually refused to seat me or speak to me when I entered the dining room for my last meal on the ship! She just looked me up and down and acted like I was not worthy of her presence. Several other people in my family received the same treatment. We all would have tipped her but she only said "Hello" to us once or twice does that really warrant a tip? I think
not! The ships shows were the best I have ever seen on a cruise the one "History Repeating" was absolutely fantastic! Overall it was a so so cruise but overpriced for what we got in the end. If you would like a more detailed overview let me know and I will email you one
