My husband and I had a wonderful holiday aboard the Island Breeze a couple of years ago. Yes, it was basic but we made some good friends and the atmosphere was wonderful.

We're off to Cyprus/Greece in a couple of weeks time with 2 friends for a week's cruise and week's stay and I was really looking forward to it, until I read the ship review on this site!!

Has anyone out there been on the ship/this cruise and can tell me anything to raise my spirits?

I'm sure we'll have a good time, whatever happens but would appreciate any tips, suggestions.

Thanks very much

Welcome aboard Florence, another Brit!

We have a number of Airtours fans here, such as Paddy, and others who will be able to help.

Meanwhile do look at the 'Readers Review' section, menu left. Airtours cruises are featured.

I thought the last review was really positive and as it was only last month really relevant. I was hoping to book the 2 week cruise for Easter 2002 on the Seawing as it was going to places we would like to see but according to Airtours Direct they have now sold the ship and the Seawing is not doing the cruises in 2002.

I am sure you will have a good time!

Hello Florence...I 've just seen that you are coming in Cyprus in a couple of weeks so I thought that some advice would be nice
To be honest I have no idea about the ship but what I know is that seas around Cyprus and the Greek islands are quite calm in Summer so expect a to have nice cruise.
As far as weather is concerned...well right now is around 42 degrees celcius in the capital Nicosia and around 37 in Limassol from where you will most probably depart fot the cruise.
If you want to ask anything more you are very welcome to do it...

Thanks Malcolm!
I have been emailing Florence and chatting with instant messages (although I think I scared her a little with my Big Brother influenced name!). Again, feel free to email me with more questions, and MoJo, I just got my Airtours 2002 Summer Cruise brochure, and Seawing is still featured from March 25th. You may want to try a few travel agencies as I myself often get wrong information direct from the company.

Paddy.

...the Travelpage 'Ship Reviews' paint a very poor picture of the Airtours fleet.

However, the 'Readers Reviews' mostly very praise the Airtours cruises.

Florence you might like to write a review for us when you return?
