MoJo, an interesting question. I can't answer your query specifically about Christmas crackers on P&O.
I normally cruise at that time of year. I always take my own Christmas crackers along with me.It is also very important to be seated at a table for no more than eight. Where I come from, they are packaged with no more than eight to a box.
We've done several Christmas/New year cruises and many people bring their own crackers and cabin decorations on board - we took our miniature tree - with lights etc. etc. Check about crackers when you board and if the're not supplied, you've got your own.
On HAL ships, Santa comes to call.
