Does anyone have anymore up to date news about the illness on the SS Ausonia? If anyone can point me in the direction of any
newspapers in the British press that covered the story I would be grateful. Any other information on this ship would be welcomed.

Brenda, I first heard the news on GMTV but it also had a small piece in the Daily Mail. I don't know about the other papers. We went on the Ausonia over Easter and had a wonderful time. The gentleman who wrote the review for April 2001 on this board was obviouly on the same cruise as we were and had the same sort of experience. We were travelling with our 13 year old daughter who really enjoyed it as well! We were in a Premium Cabin (140 on Delphi deck) which seemed a lot larger than a lot of the others. We even had a large bathroom with a full size bath.
If you are thinking of going on this ship, I think a few minutes of planning would be worth it. Make sure your cabin isn't over the entertainment lounge as we did hear some grumbles about the noise, particularly if you retire early.
