I know the listing is not complete, but I notice a significant absence of cruisers (or at least cruise-talkers here) from:

Almost all of South America, most of Latin America, Japan, India, Pakistan, Thailand, China ( know there are some from HKG), snd South Africa.

There are many more countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia which I believe are not represented, but I am not compiling an Atlas here, just recording observations.

Ot perhaps they cruise and do not comment?

I´ve met cruisers from all of your first mentioned group, but many of them are not so familar with the English language. As for the second group there might not be so many cruisers?

Hi Cambodge,

Greetings from Taiwan!

I'm still here, just not enough time to post as much as I would like to.

I am originally from New York, but now living in Taiwan for many years.

Let me assure you that the Taiwanese certainly do cruise. From Keelung (Taipei) we have the Norwegian Star 1 and her bookings are pretty good, although she does run quite a few "specials."
Also, the Taiwanese do participate in air/sea packages, especially to Singapore to board SuperStar Virgo and SuperStar Gemini and also to Bangkok, for the SuperStar Aries.

I believe the reasons you do not see any posts from them are:
1. They do not know of TravelPages.
2. The language barrier.
3. It's not really their "thing" to write
reviews or critiques.

When I sail on Norwegian Star 1, I always have conversations with the Taiwanese, and they seem to enjoy the cruise experience. Of course having 2 casinos aboard Norwegian Star 1 adds quite a bit to their cruising pleasure.

I am currently trying to find out what the Norwegian Star 1 will be doing starting in December, as her published sailing itineraries only go through the end of November.
