I came across this on another site (totally
unrelated to ships, cruising etc.).

I don't know where or when this took place
and hope that it has not been on this site
before.

If it has, it's worth another look.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing!

We should never forget that the sea and rivers can be a very dangerous place! So when we are on a Cruise ship, please take the lifeboat drill seriously - it might just save your life!

If you are thinking that modern Cruise ships have too many gadgets for serious accidents to happen, just look what happened to NCL's Norwegian Dream in August 1999:

The towboat in this series of photos is the CAHABA, and she was working on the Black Warrior River when this happened back in the late seventies. She is still operating as I type these lines. Now she is owned and operated by Madison Coal and Supply of Port Amherst, West "Bye God" Virginia!
