Wow you should see the news coverage of the new ship "The World"! For those of you who don't know it is an apartment ship for the very rich (most yanks) it is very classy and "exclusive"! Its a snatch at only $2 million

for one of the cheapest appartments!! Well I cannot seem to find anymore infor on it so someone have a poke around the net!

You can find a full picture gallery at Raoul Fiebig's site Das Ruderhaus. Captions in Deutche only! I don't think he is a member of this forum, although I've seen him on others...

WHERE ARE THE LIFEBOATS !
From photo's there seems to be only 2 lifeboats and 1 tender on each side !
I must add she is not very attractive, almost a "boxy" look and the white hull dose not help her if she is to be represented as a place to live and not a cruise !!!
Maybe her white hull and what she offers is to imply "life's a long cruise" ???

Itinerary doesn't look that great either - seems to spend most of her time up around Norway, much too cold for me!
And kitchens in cabins??? Very scary...

Hello,

From the inside, she is beautiful. The kitchens don't scare me at all - each one is its own fire zone! You have to remember, these are apartments, not cabins!

From the outside, she is abysmal. She looks like what she is - a luxury apartment block gone to sea! Almost like a building on a barge! The original renderings showed her smaller, sleeker, with a navy-blue hull. Looked very nice, but I don't really like the actual thing. Oh well.

As for the itinerary, I actually haven't taken the time to look at it, but I would expect Norway to be featured, as the management is very Norwegian - the ship was even built in Norway, quite a rarity!

I remember something of a blue hull too in renderings, too bad they went with the white hull

It is interesting that she was built in Norway.

OH, MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is soooo gorgeous! I would LOVE to live on this ship for 1 year, just to see what it would be like!
The ABSOLUTE lap of luxury! How can anyone say it isn't attractive, that it is 'boxy'! Wow!
I am just totally blown away & amazed!
Think I will go buy a lottery ticket!
Just think! No more lawns to mow & no gutters to clean out!!!
