We are considering going on the Aurora in November. There are not many reader reviews of this ship - Has anyone any comments about the ship, itinerary, etc? Is the Bay of Biscay rough in November? The ship docks at Port Said for the excursion to Cairo, do you know how long the coach journey is? Any comments or advice would be appreciated.

Scottylass is our resident expert on Aurora, if she's reading?? Mary! My parents love her and have done a few cruises on her now; aboard at present, but they won't write a review; their only comment would be, is that she's wonderful and go!
I don't know if Biscay is any rougher than normal in November, pot luck I think?

Aurora is a superb ship and I cannot recommend her highly enough! You will enjoy a cruise anywhere on her. GO!! As for the Bay of Biscay, I agree with PamM - it can be pot luck - I have sailed through it at various times of the year, some good sailing others a bit bouncy.
Port Said/Pyramids - I seem to recall the last time I did this excursion it was about a 2 hour drive to the Pyramids - however you cannot be that close and not take the trip to see them.
