Joe: You have a great WEB site here where I have been a member since 1999. But I do see a decrease in partisipation of late maybe due to summertime activities. I also look at other sites and this one is quite different than most others. I do believe Cruisepage is the class act of them all but I also believe something needs changed. What are other members opnoins.

I know Joe was going to update the software but it never happened, I know he works a lot so I never asked but I guess this is a good of a time to ask.

Perhaps the engine room needs updating, but surely the passenger facilities are fine as they are?

It's easy to navigate, quick, and comfortably familiar.

In other words, it ain't broken -- so don't fix it.

I agree with the "If it ain't broke..." sentiment, and made the same comment when Joe initially announced the format change. He replied with a list of ways in which the current format IS broken. Do you still feel that way, Joe? What is happening with the proposed change?

This is by far the best cruise talk website. On some of the others...which I don't visit anymore....people log on just to say Good Morning! Then will follow 20 more Good Morning posts from other members. How inane. Some people really don't have a life. There is nothing more annoying than people using the web site as if it's a chat room. Let's hope they stay there and not come here.

Morning Whitestar.. having a 'Nice day'? It was a bit chilly here for a change; took the children to Alton Towers for the day and the nearest I got to anything remotely nautical was taking a ride on Old MacDonald's Riverbank Eye-Spy
Yes, I know what you mean, but a bit of chit chat is fun, none at all and it turns into stodge.

I also agree with PamM. This site has very serious discusions concerning the issues at hand. This is good but I feel like it also needs a twist of humor and more input on a personal level concerning the real life situations of cruising fun and problems, and do's and dont's.

A blonde walks by a travel agency and notices a sign in the window, "Cruise Special -- $99!". She goes inside, lays her money on the counter and says, "I'd like the $99 cruise special, please."

The agent takes her into the back room, ties her to a large inner tube, takes her out the back door and downhill to the river, where he pushes her in and sends her floating.

A second blond comes by a few minutes later, sees the sign, goes inside, lays her money on the counter, and asks for the $99 special. She too is tied to an inner tube and sent floating down the river.

Drifting into stronger current, she eventually catches up with the first blonde. They float side by side for a while before the first blonde asks, "Do they serve refreshments on this cruise?"

The second blonde replies, "They didn't last year."

I'm inclined to think that things sometimes get far too technical with only a few persons interested.

This only seems to happen occassionaly to the point of boredom.

I usually try to break this up with "adults only" cruises and various taunts. It seems to work quite well and stir up the pot.

We seem to be back into one of our "normal" phases. Its times like this that some of the old contributors come back and make reading of the various topics a pleasure.

WHITE STAR, that was a great joke about blondes and cruising on inner tubes. I am sending it to all my cruising buddies. Thanks.

Refresh my memory - were the blondes male or female? Or perhaps it makes no difference.
