Hi all,

Literally just returned from Southampton and an unforgettable overnight on QM2. The ship is enormous and a 6-day Transatlantic voyage might just be long enough to explore the whole ship. One night surely was NOT! I could be seen running up and down stairs in the middle of the night trying to capture most of QM'2 magnificent public rooms... ;-)

A 17-page photo preview is now online at http://www.PassengerShipParade.com as a "Photo of the Week" special. The full review will follow in due time.

Bart

As I said elsewhere, LOVE the photos, but they are so small

It would be nice if one could click on them to view them full size please! Would this be possible?

CGT, I'm keeping the size small so loading the photos will not take up too much time. Besides, it is a lot of work resizing the photos, uploading them to my external photo server, linking them, etc., etc. Right now, I don't have the time for all that, so I'm afraid you will have to wait until the ShipTour is unveiled. I hope I can have it finished by early February...

Barryboat: it's all digital these days. I use a Canon G2 digital camera.

Thanks for the friendly words - it's appreciated!

Great pics, Bart. I love your site and have read every review and seen all the pics. It must be nice to have nothing to do but plan your next cruise. I enjoyed the Grandeur of the Seas review and pictures as my next cruise is on her sister Enchantment in May. I often use your picture of the week for my desktop on my PC at work to keep me motivated.

Bart,

Great pics! Thanks so much for taking the time to share them. I have to say that the image of the funnel is very impressive. Really, in my opinion it is the best photo I have ever seen of it. It's the first time I have seen it and got the impression that I am sure the designers were aiming for. You should send it to Cunard. In the old days the funnels were a very important part when advertising for ships. I could see your picture as a poster or the cover of a brochure. Good job, man!

Wonderful pictures - seems that even 6 days may be pushing it - no time to check out all the the facilities.....to say nothing of the restaurants and lounges!

Thank you so much for posting.

Eagerly looking forward to your full review!

Was amazed your amended "photo of the week" was published so quickly upon your return from Soton.

QM2's full review must be great (as always)!

Can't wait till february.

Bart, I concur with the consensus. I love looking at your site. For any current ship I ever want to explore in the virtual sense, I need only visit your site. I can't wait to see what else you've got in store for us from QM2.
