I know that QM2's call sign is GBQM, but does anyone know what her email address is? I'd like to send an email to someone who will be on board for her maiden voyage. Or should I send email to cunard.co.uk?

I would suggest contacting Cunard Guest Services via phone at Tel 800-528-6273 ext. 1214 and ask them to send the message. Sending it via the web site may take longer than the maiden voyage.

Unless Cunard started assigning passengers e-mail addresses for the cruise I don't think the ship will accept unsolicited e-mails for passengers or crew (...think SPAM).

Joe: Queen Elizabeth 2 accepts emails to passengers and crew providing the passenger Name (Full), Cabin Number and Suite number is given.

I assume Queen Mary 2 will be the same.

Brian_O: Try QM2@cunardmail.com

Best wishes,

Chris.

Thanks Chris. Much appreciated! I'll give it a try.

The QM2 features listed on the web indicate that passengers can check their email, but this might just mean they can check their "home" email accounts for incoming mail. This can be done easily from any computer in the world that has internet access and an email client installed, even if it is the dreaded security-hole-plagued MS Outlook Express .

That's what Warwick's son suggests on his web site, but cruisemail.com doesn't seem to be working anymore (...no DNS resolution).

Try calling Cunard in Australia... +61 2 9250 6699 - they will tell you. QM2's email address should have been given to your friend in their pre embarkation details.

As i say, QE2@cunardmail.com as well as QE2@cruisemail.com got throught to me when I was aboard QE2 in early 2003. They put the email under your door.

Good luck. Chris.

I just read on another forum that the address for QM2 is cunardmail.com and also, that supposedly the correct format for them is

GUESTNAME10123456.QM2GUEST@cunardmail.com

Where the number is your "Cunard member number"

Supposedly, it is said:

"The reason for the change re e mails from QE2 / Caronia is that now on QM2 they are sent directly to the cabin / stateroom tv, instead of being delivered as hard copy."

Just what I have read elsewhere....cannot vouch for it's accuracy!

Sounds reasonable. How do new guests know their World Club #? Its been so many years since I was a first time guest at Cunard? I guess the pre-embarkation documents have it?

If you haven't recieved your card yet, and you've just returned from a trip with Cunard, go to their web site, go to contact us, and email them direct through the web site requesting your club#. That's how I got mine.

Makes sense.

What about sending email to crew members?
