Just my opinion, but it seems like QE2 looks more "ocean liner" than the NORWAY...probably because the balconies are more integrated on the QE2...

You don’t know how QE2 will return from this refit, with Norway laying around they have a lot of spare material to use!

Onno, looks like you moved the funnel up; will she fit under the Verran. Bridge to get into NYC or do you not see the need(given her changed role at Cunard)?

I don't think the funnel got moved at all. If you noticed the base of the funnel where the vents are (? :confused in the top picture, it is missing in the NORWAY-styled QE2...

Anyhow thanks Onno She looks like a cruise ship "hybrid"!

The extra decks look better then the penthouse suites that were added in the 1970's.

Yes it was my idea for the NORWAY-styled balconies to go on top of the QE2. I just want to see how she would look with them....

Such a modification could extend the QE2's life as a cruise ship. It certainly did in the SS Norway’s case!

When Pam took over as COO of Cunard I wrote to her suggesting they add a level of balcony's where the heli-deck is, this would not damage her external looks. I also suggested they open the wardroom up for forward facing suites and a intimate bar... I got no reply
