A view years ago a visit here in Rotterdam whene she was Club 1. That day the ship was open fore public and thousends came to visit here. So it became a chaos in and around the Rotterdam cruise terminal. Ones a/b here i was dissapointend she looks far the ultra luxurious vessel Club cruises have spoken off in the media. They where not even ready with the refit. The outside pool was just concrete and not finished. The theater full with building materials and life jackets. And some cabins below where not even cleaned and smell terrible.

The 4 of us who where down below (the 3 persons where total strangers) where discovered by some crew and they told us very friendly that this area was closed. And they bring us back to the parts of the ship open to the public.

Whene confrontating the hotel maneger one of the owners passed by, and tolled me not so friendly that the ship would be ready fore the first cruise. And he simply moved on.

That make me wonder, if he told me the truth. whene i was on deck overlooking the Wilhelminakade and the chaos around the ship. I spotted the same maneger and ask him if he believed his own words. He look at me and look if he would me pussed overboard.

That convince me that i would not sail with theme, until i heard positive news.

A view months later the ship was chatered to a France company fore the France cruise market and recall here Van Gogh. Ending the first real attemp to have a cruiseship specially fore the Dutch market.

The opening cruises where cheap a 4 day cruise started at around 250 guilders (125 dollar) till 600 guilders (300 dollar).

Hi SouthamptonShips.

I don't belive that there will be a cruiseship specialy catering the Dutch market. This market is very very small. The most bookings will go to Holland America there was a increase after last years dedication ceremony of m.s. Oosterdam and the celebration of 130 years HAL. This was saying by a spokeswoman of Zeetours Netherlands biggest cruisetour operator and headoffice in the Rotterdam. (former company of Holland America Line and now a TUI company)

SouthamptonShips;

Nice pictures of Van Gogh, a ship that I have been trying to find nice photos for for a while. Yours will fill the gap. I will have a link to your site on the next update.
