Does anyone have any insight into whether or not NCL will maintain a presence in Charleston? If so, what ships would be available at that time to sail out of there? I believe the Dream and Wind are scheduled to be transferred in 2006 too, no?

I would not be surprised if NORWEGIAN MAJESTY transfers to Star Cruises once the NORWEGIAN JEWEL enters service. N. DREAM and N. WIND will stay with NCL for awhile until they can no longer compete in the North American market. As far as Charleston is concerned, there will be many factors such as available ships in 2006 and if NCL plans to transfer N. WIND back to "mainland" from Hawaii and if the NCLA venture fails and those ships will be transferred back to NCL. Most likely it will be the N. DREAM or the N. WIND in Charleston in my opinion.
Thanks for the warm welcome. I've been lurking here for a while - although this board doesn't have the quantity of posts that some other cruise-related forums do, it has them all beat on quality.
I hope it is the Dream or the Wind that replaces the Majesty in Charleston - we'd love the opportunity to spend a (relatively inexpensive) week on one of those two before they are transferred out of the fleet.
We've already been on the Majesty once this year, and will be sailing on her one more time before the end of the year. The Majesty is a nice enough ship, but twice is enough.
