I recently heard that the Asuka II will be coming to Vancouver in June of 2007. I know it is a little far off and a lot can happen between now and then, but hey, I'm already staking out a spot on the Stanley Park Seawall . What's a cruise ship geek to do?

True, I've seen and photographed her as the Crystal Harmony many times, but ...

Guess I don't really need to explain to this crowd!

Anyways, her transformation will begin shortly in Victoria and should be complete by mid December. She'll then sail empty from Victoria to Japan and begin her first cruise as Asuka II shortly afterwords. I don't think she'll sail into Vancouver in December so I'll have to wait till 2007 to see her.

Counting down the days....

Regards, Kaiser

Exactly, the original "Asuka" has entered service since 1991, Asuka Cruise will be celebrating 20th Anniversary in 2011.
Asuka Ⅱ cruise passengers will pass through Kiel-Canal on board the Amadea from Amsterdam to Warnemunde as a optional tour.
Asuka Ⅱ is scheduled to visit Amsterdam on May 17th on Asuka Cruise 20th Anniversary Cruise.

Why? For Kiel Canal passage to Warnemunde?

Amsterdam cruise ship list confirm that both ships will be in Amsterdam 17.05.2011.

Third cruise ship the same day will be SEA CLOUD arriving in the evening. Maybe she meet the cruise ships in North Sea Canal.
