Good afternoon,

Can't '' translate '' as such....but you can deduce that 1/ Crystal Harmony is now officially defunct and her refit is completed into Asuka II ... 2/ the sushi is ready in the buffet !!!...3/ the public areas from the late Crystal Harmony have remained largely unchanged....and 4/ The Japanese are marketing and promoting this thing big times !!!

( I'll have a couple of California rolls with that, hold the ginger...)

Cheers
CG

She always had the NYK red stripes on her mast and now they are on the funnel as well.

I was down at the drydock in Victoria today, and she was still alongside, having just returned from 3 days of sea trials. Stability issues, stabalizer testing after rebuilding, and also a test of the rudder mechanisms in large swells (found off the coast in the open Pacific). A huge transfer of crew off the ship was taking place. She has the NYK markings on the funnel, the hull is painted a very light blue, and there are still about 200 contractors aboard. She sails for Japan at 15:00 on December 23, with 150 crew and the remaining contractors aboard.

Hi, Grant,

Did you notice any significant changes in her public ( open ) areas from the outside ??? The pictures on the Japanese Website for the public areas inside give the impression most was left intact, save for soft goods maintenance....
Cheers

To me these pictures look like as if they are form a Crystal photo archive.

A light blue hull - sounds interesting!

Photos would be highly appreciated! Thank you!

Perhaps I should have said a vey pale blue. There is more than a hint, but not much more!! No sign of steel work on the superstructure.
