PACIFIC SKY will be visiting Adelaide tomorrow (Saturday, 11 February) at 06:00 CST. She'll probably fill the camera view at about 06:30 - 06:45.

The webcam can be found at:

thanks for the heads up!

unfortuneately this will be the first and only visit that the pac sky makes to the west coast.

I wish P&O Aus would offer more circumnavigations or similar which brings the ships closer to adelaide, perth, darwin etc.

No one caught her arriving on the webcam? Another chance when she departs at 18:00 CST. She'll probably be in view after 18:15. Adelaide summer time is +9:30 GMT (UTC).

Phil, I can't recall PACIFIC SKY ever visiting Adelaide before so it was great getting down there (after 40 minutes drive) to see her. Took some pics and was very lucky the sun popped its head over the Adelaide Hills and the clouds to light her up. Only problem is that she was aided by two tugs on her starboard side and they were in the way. She looked remarkably good though. Pity she is leaving our shores. Will make an effort to see her off tonight.

Hope you get some good pics as she comes in at Fremantle in a few days.

Thanks for posting SEVEN SEAS VOYAGER photo. I missed her. I was sick as a dog with a flu bug on Monday night. Tried to sleep, stayed awake and was in no condition to drive 40 minutes at 5:00 am in the morning (and maybe catch pneumonia). She also left late (11:00pm if not wrong) so it would have been impossible to get any pics. Not happy since this is the second time I got no images of her. Last time she came in it was dark!!

Don't miss PACIFIC SKY as this will be your only opportunity. The next time you see her she may come back as razorblades!

Wonderful pic of SSV, Phil. Where were you standing to get that? I was on the ferry at the back. LOL! Need to get mine developed though but do have it on tape anyway both ways. No way am I going to miss Pacific Sky. I'm trying to persuade Juanita to go there for the arrival since I got SSV and will get the QE2 so have to have the set, don't I? She may mock my love of ships but she couldn't resist taking a pic of SSV as she was turning round today.

Thanks for the Port Adelaide webcam image Iggy. Pity no one got the arrival, the lighting then was perfect. As you can see on the breakwater there was a fair few people seeing her off. One person I spoke to had family catching up with others in Singapore and then cruising Malaysia. I think most of those there had no idea she wasn't going to come back, well, at least the man I spoke to didn't.

Iggy, saw your pics of AURORA. They are nice. Interesting to see you can get so close, and on the terminal side too.

You can get really close as you can see.

The viewing deck's ownership was legally clarified last year and since then its open till 11pm, unless theres some VIP's staying at the Hilton.

There's usually a few people there saying goodbye, especially with the bigger ships.

I don't know how much longer the status quo will remain before security issues take over. The incident with the drunk "Santa" climbing the mooring lines of Pacific Sky this season wouldn't have helped

phil i was on cruise 604 and got off in melbourne the word around ship was thAT it was completely full for melbb singapore leg some people on our cruise tried to stay onboard for melb adelaide leg and were told no space at all by the way my cruise was completely full as well. i get the impression more than half the passengers onboard paid the minimum rate and am concerned that now they only have sun and star here you will probably see prices stay firm and no last minute discounts, ive never seen discounts on 7 nite cruises

welcome back claudio, i would have to agree that future cruises will be booked solid until the new pacific (regal) comes along.

If the pac sky is booked full until singapore...then a company here in the west were wasting their money advertising on the weekend!

Well Juanita told me tonight she'd written on the calendar about the arrival on Thursday so I'll be in front of the maritime museum with my camcorder and camera. It is a shame really her maiden call in Freo and her only one now. Still at least ship lovers in and around Freo will get to see her before she goes.

Phil, I am guessing at 06:00 is when the pilot boards the ship. Do you know how far away from the Inner Harbour this takes place? At what time does the sun rise in Perth at present? Curious.

FORECAST: A shower or two, clearing late morning to a fine and partly cloudy day. Light W/SW'ly winds, becoming moderate S/SW in the afternoon.
TEMPERATURES: Minimum: 15 Maximum: 24
Sunrise 05:55 Sunset 19:06

I normally try and get to freo at the time scheduled on the website... the actual arrival time does vary but is generally a tad later. The pilot would get onboard a lot earlier in the morning... possible 45-60mins before getting to the terminal? They get on in Gage Roads a section of deep waterway/shipping channel.

Given the forecast (and the fact it takes me 50mins to drive into Freo) i think ill give the early morning visit a pass! Wont miss the sailaway... lets hope it clears up nicely!

Phil, 50 minutes drive equates to a fair distance. You must live out of town! You are a real ship nut aren't you? Hope you get good pics.

bulbousbow - I live about 1/2hr north of the city, and freo is about 20mins south/west of the city!

anyway i logged on this morning just before 7 and captured this webcam shot as it had just about docked. The port webcam was still very dark and the ship was only a small dot in the corner

I was there and I don't blame you, Phil, for skipping the arrival. Cold, wet and windy! If she'd been when the site listed her as being (5.45am it said when I checked an hour earlier) it would have been dry and the ship lovely and lit! There was one bloke down there where we were taking pics then he vanished when it passed the museum. That was it. Going to have a snooze shortly. I don't think I brought the weather with me. Maybe it's trying to get me used to it again before I leave next Saturday. LOL! At least the forecast for this afternoon is better. Got plenty of pics but don't think I'll have time to get them developed before I go home.
