First i don't like this class of ships. And the original Millenium colors where much nicer.

Greetings Ben.

I like how she looks in the end though, i was a bit worried about how she was going to turn out with the ducktail/sponsoon addition but she looks quite good it in, it matches her angular look...the balconies seem to worked quite well.......i'm not to sure about the bridge work with the bridge overhang being extended somemore....i await the interiors though!!....from what i saw on the revitalization site interior pics should be a great treat!

Wait it has a ducktail? Jk i knew it did but it is seriously not very noticable at all. I think she looks great, very updated looking, and i bet the interior is even better.

I am surprised what you all see in her - she is 'the same' beside the balconies and the duck tail. I can not see that she is now more similar to a Millenium class. (which I think is an advantage)

Not the prettiest class of cruise ship, but they did a nice job externally. Paint jobs are only to give an illusion, if she ain't good looking bare she'll never look good dressed-up. That's the way I see it.

Not bad. The ducktail fits the ship with the angular shape. Exteriorly, she looks like a different ship from this 3/4 view.

This ducktail doesn't look fine. It really looks as something which was added afterward. However, they did a good job with the balconies, it's like if the ship was originally designed with them.

This is certainly a very extensive refit - and there are changes - but I think the achievment is that she is actally still recognizable as the ship she was before- sorry, I still don't see it.

see this picture of her before the refit

see this picture of her before the refit

I cannot agree with Maasdam - I think the Century sisters are among the very best looking ships of their time and size - I ahve sailed Century twice and Galaxy once and I love them. On Century on Tuesday so will produce a full report as soon as I get home on saturday.

i am too like the Century class of ships very much - they are elegant and uniqe
for this current refubishment - or should i say rebuilt: the ship doesnt look so bad i think.
the added balconies arnt such ugly as i used to imagine them before i saw those photos.
but the added duck tail is just aweful!! - they at least could paint the water line a bit better.....

how do you mean? all of the vessels in the Celebrity fleet has their waterline or boot painted in the same manner....so you would have to criticize the whole fleet then ..

The angled boot topping is very attractive and unique IMO. The paint job I don't think turned out well is on Constellation. The upper forward portion is odd were it levels out at the prow. Instead of gracefully wrapping up and around like on Century, it looks bizarre-again IMO.

Well about the looks thing Century is much better looking than many ships around, and she is now more fuel efficient thanks to the duck tail which is barely notisable.

Yes...they've incorporated the balconies very well
the ships basic design is quite angular, gives her a
unique overall appearance, much like her stable mates....

Another triumph of marine retrofitting!
