Normandie- she had traditional funnels but with unique curves.
France(1962) - well i dont think i need to explain this choice, those winged funnels are classic.
Andrea Doria - her funnel had incredible lines to it.
If I HAD to pick one, I might choose the France.
I can guess your choice of line, Cunard Fan.

Surviving faves include Marco Polo, and the Saga twins.

I really really realy love huge funnels, like the SS United States but my favorite funnel of all time I would have to say was the Caronia of 1948 because of her huge oval funnel. Also it was a Cunard funnel which in my opinion is the perfect funnel. It also looked very good with her livery and profile.

It was very impressive but her captains sure did'nt seem to care for it as it acted like a huge sail under certain wind conditions.

Well her captains must have been crazy then.LOL. Thats what caused the whole light house thing in japan I think.
Malcolm you're right hers are very inconic and are among my favorites. The QE2s funnel is pretty iconic too.

QE2's original funnel was attractive as an objet d'art, but somehow did look a bit undersized for the bulk of the ship. Stylistically, (although not designed with the same functionality) I always preferred the versions on the Royal Viking sistes. They were well proportioned and stately...sleek and modern, yet not silly and too trendy.
Other one that was always really neat was the Royal Caribbean Cruise line funnels on their first three. All others since then have been bloated poorly proportioned versions of a well executed original concept.

Great picturer of her. She looks so beautiful with two funnels though she already looked great with three!
I prefer the big fat ones, and dislike the pinpricks and tin cans. Ships look better with a powerful looking funnel.. imo. I also love the Maxim Gorky, Habib, Kess funnels
