Then you should see the interior and the upper decks Malcolm. Lots and lots have to be installed before delivery.

And on Monday, keel laying for FR3 will take place.

I think i just realised what the coloured strips are for on the balconies. You all do realise that they are all the same length of the cantilevered jacuzzis. So i conclude that RCI has done this in an effort to highlight their innovative cantilevered spas. The strips are different in colour to the green balcony glass which will automatically make anypersons attention go there. Since they are all the same width, it is kinda like a column leading up to the jacuzzis. Self marketing of their new product!

Malcolm, since it is only her trials, 4000 people will not be onboard and no need to over 20 lifeboats. Just enough to get the engineers and specialist off jus incase the need arises.

This is all happening too fast! I don't know if it is just me but, Liberty seems to be built in a shorter timeframe than Freedom! So they will be no differences on her than of freedom. The layout will be the same jus the slightest change in decor

Is that not the point of mass produced ships?? I think the head of the shipyard simply pushes a button and out pops another 160,000 ton ship!

Those relatively early sea trials may be explained by the fact this ship is built in Finland and ice is likely to become an issue during the 3 or 4 upcoming months.
If the exterior "shell" seems completed, I assume the inside is in a very different condition.

And again. Yes, it was too fast, I expected to see Liberty like this in February. But by looking at the picture I can tell they have barelly worked on the interior and the exterior decks, but they can do that in one and a half month. Interior and deck fitting is the fast part now.

Genesis' keel laying will probably take place 4-6 months after the first steel cut. I know this based on what I've seen with other large ships.

If Monday is the keel laying of FR3 that means that it will be built in a bit over one year, fast for such a big ship.

Just returned from the Freedom and quite disappointed. Appart from the Norwalk virus on board, I expected something much more innovative. If from Vision, Voyager, Brillance, Soverign class ships there are huge differences, and a new concept, the Freedom is simply a boring stretch from the Voyager class, the rest remains almost the same.

In outside deck, we find the innovation. The SPA, the Flowrider, the H20 acqua park and the new pool Inside it´s a virtual copy. Somethings are better some others are worse. I enjoyed the new Sorrento italian restaurant, the Café Promenade, the BookShop or the Shaver. The Ocean Bar is simply superb as well as the new location of the Sports Bar by StudioB

However more passengers should mean bigger spaces. No the reception is the same size, the Windjammer is slightly bigger and there are the same number of lifts, so it´s a perpetual line and crowds eveywhere.

Not again , too big for me. I expect the Genesis class be something completely different. Who has had the "brilliant" idea of replacing the nice pool in the SPA with an empty boxing ring?. I want the pool back in the SPA

All of the Voyager class vessels went on sea trials many months before delivery. And also the crossing is kind of a sea trial. Hence no paying guests on those sailings.
And as you rightly state, the inside is a very different matter. But she will be a beautiful ship, once ready!

FR3 ?? Can you elaborate??
After sailing on the Voyager,I don't think I will ever book on this size ship or the larger ones coming out. The itinerary we were on last time was too hectic and with the ship being so big we never got the chance to see much of anything.IMHO
