Here are the newbuilds that I can think of for 2007:

Carnival Freedom
CostaSerena Emerald Princess
MSC Orchestra
Liberty of the Seas
Norwegian Gem
Queen Victoria

Can you help fill in thre blanks? I recall that there are a few ships being reborn with new names and a ship or two yet to be named.

In terms of lower berths: Liberty of the Seas is of course the biggest carrying 3,634 - but anamzingly Queen Victoria appears to be the SMALLEST in my list at least, carrying 2014 pax.

Isn't Aida Diva coming out this year too? American Star for American Cruise Line is coming out this year as well I think, though she is a small coastal cruiser.

It was announced a few years ago but I can't find any updated information so I have removed it.

Also dont forget about the Celebrity Quest (formerly Blue Moon from Pullmantur, formally R7 from Renaissance Cruises).

Occupancy only 710 passengers.

I think her 'inaugural' is October 19, 2007.

The word ‘new’ clearly has a different meaning in the cruise world than it does in common usage!

Thomson cruises have a new ship in their fleet this year, the ‘Calypso’.

The ORIGINAL statement and question involed both newbuilds and renamed vessels...

I don´t want to go into polemics with you, but the heading is "Newbuilds 2007".
If you want to include renamed vessels, why did you only name the QS and not the JR?
