Good Morning.

On a very hazy quiet sunday morning, Liberty of the Sea's came out of the mist and made quite an entrance!
Shame there were no fire tugs out, but I think RCCL are saving the "festivities" for later in the week when she departs on her Transatlantic crossing.
Hope you like these photos considering the hazy conditions...

Firework photos from tonight to follow!
Rgds,
Andrew

i was on town quay, it was packed! especially as they have blocked the end off.
can't believe the weather is still kind.
i can predict 100% that gales will be here on 25th though as we go off on constellation then.

Fingers crossed for you that the weather will be good, I'll try and get some photos.

Bon Voyage! Hope you have a great time, and look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.

Really superb photos ocean voyager! The misty conditions add to the atmosphere in my humble opinion. Hopefully the wonderful weather will hold until Thursday for the 'meeting' of Liberty and Navigator. A lttle warmer than yesterday would be nice; I was frozen on Hythe pier waiting for the Queen Elizabeth 2 and Millenium to depart.

Yes, awesome pics!

Memories: I went to see 'Voyager of the Seas' when she visited Southampton in 1999. She towered above the QEII terminal building. My pics are hardly of the quality of those above, but never the less here are three of them:

Pic One

Pic Two

Pic Three

Great photos! This class of ship looks best IMO from the 3/4 rear view. RCI did an excellent job w/the semi tiered aft decks and partially rounded stern.

The photos are lovely Andrew, I do like misty shots and ships arriving out the gloom. She looks very nice there. Catching the atmosphere is great. Ships pictured in full sun with all detail are fine too, but seeing them in reality with rain, mist, dark thunderclouds, ferries about, small boats etc I think all adds to them.

Patsy also has some nice photos from yesterday. Those taken a bit earlier with Oceana's arrival, at the end of page one and on page 2, catch the mist rising off the water just obscuring the bottom half of the photos with the top clear; I love those.

I meant to add, that pic 4 above is the best imo with the docking 'hatch/platform' [what's the proper name?] over Oceana in the misty distance.
