I just thought of this today, they could name their new ships:
DISNEY PRINCE, DISNEY PRINCESS.
Would'nt that be appropriate for them to do that??

I always though Fantasia would be a great name for a Disney ship.

To bad its already in use.

I like Dambrosi's segestions.

They could name there ships after Disney characters, like Cinderella for example.

Cindarella was not an original Disney character. How about "Pluto," and "Dopey?"

Well, Pluto wasn't an original Disney character either. (O.K. - the dog was but not the name)

Thinking about Disney and about ships Palomino and Cygnus come to my mind. But I guess Disney will deny any relation to these names.

Just saw that movie Sunday on HDNET: The Black Hole. Not bad but no Star Wars or Star Trek either.

Hi

The names I would suggest for their new ships are - Popeye and Olive with pictures of them on the sides of the ships.

How are Popeye and Olive Oil connected w/ Disney? As with Cunard, Disney as a rather long and illustrious history of its own to draw from (all puns intended) for naming ideas/ concepts.

I like the names of Magic and Wonder as they evoke the feelings of awe and esacpe as provided by the original Disney cartoons/ theme park.

Unfortunately, Imagination has already been used - but that would have been a good one. Has has Inspiration.

Hopefully Disney will stick with naming methods used for the first two ships and not try to have grandiose and self-important names such as those used recently by Carnival and RCI.

I seem to recall that quite a few years ago when they first started looking at new ships (actually at that time it was only one) they gave the project name as Disney Dream. Personally I would go Walt 1 and Walt 2. Or at least a Walt room on board. But seriously Dream has got to be a shoo in, and then something short , maybe Disney Ocean or Disney Sea, but my favourite is Fantasia, it keeps the theme of the names (Wonder, Magic, Dream and Fantasy) and it is of course arguably the cleverest movie ever made.

Tinker Bell
Some of the other names are all too familiar used for other ships.

While Fantasy would be appropriate, it is too carnival already. Fantasia is good. Dream is good. How about Disney Land and Disney World?
