Well its not the 5 ships in MIA but it was a nice night departure.
It all started with the fog closing the port early this morning. The Voyager of the Seas and the Carnival Conquest got in at around 1100 and they had to make up time. So they decided to disembark and embark everyone at the same time. Big mistake. My gf and I went to take a drive on by the ships cause we were in the area. And we sat in traffic by the ships for at least 45min. We just sat there while there was a huge traffic jam of people rying to pull out of the parking lots and the buses getting in and out. No one really went by the traffic lights and it was just a free for all. So we parked near a hotel down the channel a bit and took a looka t them and decided to head back to campus. I got word that they were leaving at around 2000 local time so we went down near the dock here at school and I actually saw her leaving and she came towards us turned 180o and left. It was so cool looking at night.
Here is the photos. Sorry their not the best quality.

It's nice to have your school campus by the ships, the first school I was going to go to was right across Port Everglades, you would study right next to the Princess ships if they were in port, big distraction. LOL

From Eckerd College here in St Pete we sat on our balconies lloking over the bay towards the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and pretended to study.

Last Saturday night, I was driving South over the bridge at about 6 PM during a severe thunderstorm, as I approached the top of the bridge the Carnival Legend was coming out from under the bridge heading to sea. Pretty cool to see it under me all lit up in the dark rain and lightening. I am sure the sailaway party was a wash out.

The next day Sunday on my return north over the bridge I was nearing the top as the Inspiration was heading out to sea. Great ship spotting two daysin a row from the top of the bridge. Was going to fast to get pictures though.

Unfortunatelly from the million times I have passes the Sunshine Skyway I have never seen a cruise under, someday I'll try heading to the fishing pier and see if I can catch one.
