Approximately six months prior, I seem to recall that someone at Carnival made a remark that the Holiday was the right size for Mobile and that a larger ship was not being transferred to Mobile any time soon.

I think Mobile is going to be diasppointed and lose its only year-round ship - by all accounts, profits have not been great and why has no other line based a ship there as well? The port will be extremely lucky if Carnival decides to send a Fantasy-class ship there as a replacement!
