That looked truly horrible.

Which ship was it? I couldn't see (or more likely understand) anything on the webpage.

What amazes me is the the people in the right of the frame are still managing to eat , talk and laugh until they all slide away!

One of the pitfalls of cruising. However we never have had a problem on any of our cruise so far.
I did experience rough seas off of San Francisco while aboard the USS Ranger(carrier).

The good thing on a ship in heavy seas is you only have to wait for the ship to roll back to the other board for every thing to recover its original place

Seriously, I've already had a severe experience. Force 10 storm on an aircraft carrier during a whole night. No or strictly necessary crew walking only. We spent the following day sorting out and putting away the incredible mess left in one of the hangar where a lot of aviation and military equipment (various large boxes, heavy objects, airplane tanks...) was covering the whole large area like Lego parts after a 2 year-old child toying party. Before that, I would have never thought this could be possible to that extend.
To my knowledge, contrarily to many equipments, fortunately no crew member and plane (strongly secured) were seriously hurt or damaged.

Whatever the ship, large cruise ship or not, it is wise to always remember we're at sea and sea is the strongest. Many things on a ship can be dangerous if unsecured, even in moderate seas, as it is often the case in these videos.

It looks to me like the Pacific Sun, during a bad storm earlier this year on it's way back to New Zealand from Vanuatu.
The captain was altering course and had warned about the big roll that might happen - and apparently it did!

That looked like a lot of fun, until there was so much movement that the big stuff started sliding around - it could have caused some bad injuries.

The area definitely looks like the Lido buffet on Pacific Sun.

You have to admire the stoicism of some of the passengers. Check out the girl in the bottom right of the frame. She continues holding her drink for over 3 minutes. Also good to see how pax help other pax evacuate the area.

It is hard to get a sense of just how much the ship must have been rolling due to the fixed camera but seeing the staff sliding along with all the crashing furniture is scary.
