I'm looking . . . at something which is clearly a ludicrous, impractical and uneconomic concept. The ship has about a third as many balcony cabins as contemporary designs, and comparatively little open deck space. It is unlikely ever to be built.

Where did this come from? If, Mr Big C, you are going to present us with something to see, can you please let us know where you found it.

This is a design from the 1980s, simply following the trend at that time for "some" balconies, and the majority of cabins with small, rectangular windows (think SOVEREIGN-Class.) It may have looked ground-breaking 20 years ago, but certainly not in the 21st Century.

I think it's OK. Surely some of the new ships have some of these ideas. Even though we like a balcony, but in reality how often are you out there? It's OK to check the weather conditions and relax and read a book while at sea. But most of the time (during the day) your in port and off the ship. I'm sure most cruisers DON'T sit out there at Night.

I don't mean to offend anyone, but I think the design is hideous and weird. It's not well balanced horizontally. Actually looks like someone's personal attempt to create a cruise ship using some sort of new software they got. In fact I'd like a crack at that software to see what kind of design I could come up with.

It has it's own version of 'Central Park' w/a bit of Solstice's 'Lawn' thrown in.

That explains the poor (by today's standards) computer graphics. Definitely has a late '80s/early '90s look to it, as does the styling of the ship.

It's a good thing nobody built this thing; it's hideous. And that was a time period when people were still building ships that were gorgeous outside - well maybe only Royal Caribbean, with the stunning SOVEREIGN-class.

It was clearly designed by somebody with good graphical skills but knows nothing about modern cruise ships.

The lack of bridge wings, balcony cabins (as pointed out by Greybeard) small funnels and yachty like tapered front superstructure are not practical for a profitable cruise ship. The number of lifeboats look minimal for what looks like a big ship.

Clearly its computer generated but not a serious cruise ship design. Perhaps it is a graphic from some game i.e. Cruise Ship Tycoon (which I am sure it's not as I have that game and don't recognizeit) or something along those lines.

Well you couldn't do a 3 point turn driving this thing unless you had HUGE long rear view mirrors!

Can we officially now ask designers to stop putting vegetation on ships - it has been done now to death, it is not an attraction any more, some nice teak and deck chairs please - maybe ones with those pull out tvs like on planes - sort of scaled down personal MUTS !! (joke). No maybe try something really revolutionary like nice comfy deck chairs, nice deck, nice pool and hot tubs, enough stewards to get a drink when you need one, towels they don't make you jail your wife to get, and enough space that you won't hear every breath the next door chair makes as he will be a decnt space away. Oh and I know it is too much to ask and really a bit weird perhaps being on a ship and all but a view of the sea would be just dandy.

I think we are just at the beginning of the foliage fad. There's plenty more to come!

I did notice one thing i liked. The pool area looks neat, looks like a walk-in beach effect pool. I guess like whats supposed to be on Oasis? Seems like a cool idea, and the picture makes it look like its designed to look like a "beach cove" with the rocks. Other than that, I agree with everyone else, ugly and not practical.
