Externally she's the best looking Carnival ship IMHO, but internally...more of the same it would seem. I suppose it's a case of "why fix it if it's not broken".

I love the outdoor promenade. Carnival went from the worst to the best with this ship.

The galley blocking off the ship between the two dinning rooms is so damn annoying trying to get about the ship. They couldn't have made a small passage on one side.

It does look similiar to other Carnival ships - not my taste but its fun looking - which is their aim. Look forward to sailing on her!

I was thinking exactly the same thing. As for the ship, I do think the Dream is the best looking ship Carnival has ever built. What took them so long to get a stern right??

I do too, expect it appears it will be totally glassed in with a full height glass wall. So much for leaning over the rail and enjoying that connection to the sea.

I'm one of those people that loves to spend most of my vacation outside, so I particurally like the poolside theater. And as I've said before, the waterworks looks very fun for people of all ages!

I still prefer the MARDI GRAS, CARNIVALE, & FESTIVALE..they were far better than this new ship. That's just me.

That dinning room looks weird (and not just because it's pink, lol). It looks like they completely windowed in the top floor. That just seems odd. Instead of having a nice big open dinning room they have a double height box room. What's with Carnival and full height glass everywhere on this ship? I know Carnival is supposed to be all about partying but if they are really this worried about people falling over railings they should probably look into there serving policies.

It is nice that the ship will have some semblance of a real promenade deck, whereas most other newly-designed ships don't.

And she is certainly the most handsome Carnival ship yet as far as the exterior is concerned. (Well, purpose-built Carnival ship - the most-handsome ship ever to fly the Carnival flag is in my mind undoubtedly MARDI GRAS, with FESTIVALE in second place.)

Otherwise, there is really not much about this ship that appeals to me, or even looks especially different from her forebears. That said, she does look an improvement, albeit in an incremental one, from those DESTINY/TRIUMPH/CONQUEST/SPLENDOR-class ships, my absolute least-favorite modern ships. (It is rather a pity that Costa will be getting three more of those rather than switching to the DREAM design.)

now if only carnival got rid of the stupid policy of not being allowed on the promenade while at sea (safety reason's i was told)...then with an amazing promenade deck as this it will be quite the new (cookie cutter) ship for this line...and i'm sure costa as well....jeff
