According to the company webite they want to build this at Aker Yards (STX).

Basic Facts:
450,000 TONS, 1,650 ft., it has 20 decks and Can carry 8,400 PAX! WOW!

Personally I dont think it will ever get built. Its way to big and would cost way too much money to build and operate.

I dont know about you but I wouldnt want to be on a ship with 8,400 other passengers! They say its 5 football feilds long!

This is very old ... and the concept has been deemed unfeasible and replaced by a smaller one, which I am sure will never get built anyway.

The original concept is hilarious over hopeful:

The replacement concept is just embarrassing though. To go from promising the world to cutting back to barely beating Oasis has to hurt especially when you still fail after that.

You never know though, i mean 20 years ago if it was suggested there was going to be a QM2, then we probably would have scoffed at that too.

Agreed, but I stand a better chance of building a web site than a 450,000 gross ton ship! ;-)

If a random guy decides to say that he is going to build a ship 3 times as large (at the time) as the largest cruise ship why would anyone believe him. It's way too exaggerated to believe and he has no experience. If Carnival or RCCL said 3 times I still would not believe it as it seems to big a jump to be possible. Anything past 2 times is not believable and coming from a guy with no experience anything even close to worlds largest is not believable. If this guy were to build something 80,000GT and then 140,000GT followed by announcing 250,000GT he would be much more believable but anyone that thinks they can just one day decide to jump to the top hold no weight.
