Yes i think AVH II will be chartred to Phoenix Seereisen since they have her on the program.....
the funny thing is Phoenix Reisen has announced she has been acquired by V.Ships and will resume operations for Phoenix Reisen in May, 2010.
I wonder if Phoenix didn't imagine anybody else might bid for her as their announcement was made in the latest issue of the "Phoenix Magazin", which was published last Friday, and which I hence imagine might have been at the print shop already when the auction results were announced.
Best,
Raoul
I believe that V-Ships will be contracted as the ship's technical manager as it's the case with DISCOVERY and MINERVA too (while the MINERVA is also owned by V-Ships and not by All Leisure).Maybe it was just too confusing to publish the new onwer's name in the "Phoenix Magazin".
As Phoenix has been pretty sure for a certain time before the auction took place already to get the vessel back, it would match the current situation. I heard, there has only been one interested bidder and I'm pretty sure that they struck the deal with All Leisure already before the auction took place.
Probably Phoenix has already one or more alternative vessels on the plan to take over when the ALEXANDER VON HUMBOLDT will be redelivered to All Leisure. But first we might have to wait for the ARTANIA to arrive to finally replace the hole which MAXIM GORKIY left.
