Interesting. But I find the design comical.

The hull is sleek, and similar to ultra yachts such as Le Ponant. But the superstructure is short of two large Mickey Mouse heads should it be a Disney concept.

With a projected service base of 500 pax, I cannot see there be a market for such a specialized and niche product. Ships built to mass market specs and marketed to French clientele seem to be short of drawing a sustainable market. And condo / ownership vessels keep popping up in concept, but without fulfillment.

FYI, the web site does have an English version. Select the UK Flag icon on the upper right section of the page.

I am French and I think this is ridiculous.

The website states that the liner will have "difference" (from other ships) in common with the original France. I believe it will really have in common its complete lack of economic sense: who wants to sail on a ship only for its food and "park"?

Love it, different but still traditional, sleek and very "French".

That said probably will never be built.........

Same with the X bow, I would think the chaps in Helsinki are desperate to build a pax ship with one but the owners won't take the risk of doing something different I suppose.

Though it won't be built, if it was ever to happen, I am sure NCL will make sure the Epic is in port, if one ship could make the Epic look sleek and well designed it's the new France.

Lol!

Yes, it will be the next ship to be built after the 'replica' Titanic and the renovated SS United States.

It's so much easier to build a web site than a ship.

Were it not for the attempt to make the two accommodation blocks look like FRANCE's funnels, I don't think it would be bad looking, though it would certainly be unconventional.

I can just see water washing up on that "swim platform" on the stern though!

the more I look at it , the better it starts to look , it's a revolutionaire design but I doubt it will ever be built and even if there is a market for it.

I still would like to see it built.
