On a lovely Spring evening, Ventura met her sister Azura for the first time just before P&O's latest vessel was named.
Great event all round, even if some don't like the looks of a Grand Class!

Brgds,
Andrew

I wonder how many times these two ships will meet over the course of their careers? Nice photo op.

I'm going on the Ventura in August, but will try not to let the ugliness spoil my holiday. Anyone know if that is a public walkway right at the bow, the sort of clamshell thing?

Indeed, the Prom Deck goes up some steps then goes around the bow before coming down again.
prom deck rather narrow too.

I have been on Ventura last October , The bow section,( sheltered promanade ) is Crew only most of the time and when finally I could manage to get in it was all dark with no light on deck...

This deck is crew only since its serrounding a full section of crew cabins.

We were on Ventura in autumn 2008, and we were able to walk out to the bow - the 'Promenade Extension', up a deck from the main promenade - without problems every day. As were others; 3 times around the full promenade = 1.15 miles, and a lot of people were getting their exercise from doing this walk.

We're on Ventura again in May, so we'll check the access to this spot when we're on.

Picture from one of her American sisters, the Golden Princess, as we were sailing up to Juneau. It was a fun spot to watch our progress.
