Hello all friends...!

I got a qusetion for those who might sailed onboard one of the Solstice class ships. my travel agent didnt got the answere :

I booked Eclipse for a 14 nights Scandinavia and Russia summer 2011 cruise. I booked 2C Category aft (cabin 6260). This cabin is a partly obstructed verandah. On the official Celebrity confirmation form its appear as "2 LOWERS L SHAPE CONVERT TO KING"

Its sound to me very strange since L shaped cabin was so familiar back in the 70's ships as song of norway, etc. I cant imagine a Solstice class' cabin being a L SHAPE cabin......

Is some one can explain this?

Thank you Elad

It means the beds are in a shape of an L, instead of the normal, see this picture i make where on the left is normal beds and on the right is the L-shaped configuration.

Hi Elad,
I can't explain it, but I can confirm the beds are not in an "L" shape on the Solstice Class. For fun I checked availability on several categories of standard balconies, and the bedding description states the same for each, "L shape".

Anyway, your beds will be parallel to each other, either adjacent to the closet and bath, or next to the balcony door. Every other cabin has the opposite arrangement as they have an interconnecting design.

Ernie, Thats what I assumed... funny and interesting ti know why they still mention the "L shape"
As for the parallel bedding, I prefer that the beds will be adjacent to the closet and bath, simply because then, the sitting area is close to the balcony and it makes a great sitting area with a view..
