Judging from photos and rendering it is much more integragted looking than the Queen Victoria. I am sure Elisabeth 3 will be a lovely cruise hotel. Just like with Victoria, Cunard could have taken it 2 steps further. The vista/spirit hull and machinery are first rate, but they could have been given a unique superstructure to completely set them apart from HAL, Costa, and Carnival.
RCL Radiance and Mille class are identical below the waterline but you would never mistake one for the other.

As a reference, attached is the promo photo for QV's lobby. As you can see they are very similar, and very brown/rust. In person I found it to be a very inviting and warm space.

Is the wood and marble real or the plastic variety?

The marquetry panel is being designed and built by Viscount David Linley's firm. The Viscount is the nephew of Queen Elizabeth II and the grandson of the ships namesake, the late Queen Mother. Seem appropriate.

I think its a very thin, fire treated veneer ... but it's probably real wood at least in the atrium. I can't remember to be honest.

i love it, very appropriate...

has anyone else noticed there is a new rendering for the britannia restaurant on the new Queen Elizabeth mini site on the cunard website. It show's the tables cleared away in the middle(double height) section of the room, and also what appears to be wood flooring?!!?!? dance floor perhaps??! i suppose there will be room for something like that what with tables relocated to the Club britannia restuarant. but then again she does have more rooms... hmmm will be interesting to see if anything comes of this?!?! the ceiling is also slightly darker looking.

Cant wait to see her in person thats for sure....

Actually, they're not. Each hull design was carried out by the respective yard.
