As we usually sail only on RCL,Celebrity, and Princess , these are the things that we like about these cruise lines.

RCL-- Priority check in (Diamond members).
Perks for Diamond Members.

Celebrity-- Free happy hours 4-6PM daily, free drinks/snacks for Elite members . I usually only have a coke or beer. Great lounge to relax.

Princess-- Personal choice dining . Come to eat when you want. Especially nice when your shore excursions run just before ships departure and you have normally 1st seating. No rushing.Especially on Formal nights.

Let's hear what your favorites are on other lines.

Carnival - great cabin sizes (except suites). Not so keen on their cabin decor though.

RCI - love their innovative interiors like the Royal Prom.

NCL - I like freestyle. I know some don't care for it but I sailed them 5 times and never had an issue.

Disney - Love the adult only areas, on my 2 summer sailing kids were never hanging around everywhere and laying in halls and using the elevator as an amusement ride as I have seen on all other major cruise lines. I also like the decor and the fact that little things are included like juice and soda (I am not a big juice/soda drinker but it is nice that it is there and you are not nickeled and dimed for it). And of course their private island.

HAL - I think they have the best buffets and salad bars!

Celebrity - I like their interior decor. It seems to be more on the hip and trendy side yet understated. Reminds me of something you would see in Manhattan.

P&O: low drinks prices, no 15% drinks surcharge, adults-only ships, no smoking anywhere inside the ship, free shuttle buses.

To be fair, a few of these are shared with other lines: Celebrity also has a 'No Smoking inside the ship' policy, and other UK-based lines (e.g. Fred Olsen) have similar drinks prices & policies. No other line has the adults-only ships, though. I didn't think this was important until I did a short cruise on Arcadia. Not having children on board did make a difference, which to be honest I found that I enjoyed.

You forget Saga, Tom There are others too, including
Spirit of Adventure - 21
Marco Polo - [Not sure how you can have a ship with that name for Adults Only ]
Aegean Odyssey - 12
Minerva - Not advised
Thomson - Did anything take over from The Calypso, or just various AO cruises on the others?

Celebrity and Cunard:

Only essential announcements made over the PA, NOT ‘inch of gold’ sales etc.

Some excellent enrichment lectures like Bill Miller etc.

Fred Olsen:

'Classic' ships with real charm and intimacy

RCI:

Breathtaking designs and facilities.

NCL:

Brave enough to do things a little differently.

So many things to like! I find each cruise line does something very well that makes it stand out.

Cunard - I like the tradition and formality. I also like that often times fellow ship enthusiasts sail the line.

Celebrity - I like the overall style of the ships and the attention to detail.

Royal Caribbean - I like the innovation and amenities, and the Crown & Anchor Society is my favorite past passenger club.

Carnival - I generally like the food and service and feel it's underrated.

Holland America - Nothing really stands out. Overall they are a good cruise line, but I don't think they excel at any one thing.

Princess - I like the consistency when I'm in the mood for a Princess Cruise. They can be boring, but I always know what to expect with Princess. Great pool areas open 24 hours.

Windstar - I like the feeling of being on a sailing ship when the engines are shut off and watching the sails unfurl. It's a great moment.

Silversea - I like just about everything! The atmosphere, the understated style, the attention to detail, the food & service, the cabins, and especially the room (suite) service! The only thing missing is perhaps a little more nightlife.

Disney - I LOVE the entertainment. Best at sea I think. I also enjoy the beautiful ships, the rotational dining, the attention to detail, and the only fireworks at sea.

NCL - Nothing really stands out for me. They have a lot of dining options but unfortunately overall I find the line still lacks finesse and attention to detail. It's great they come up with new ideas, but it's all about the execution and this is where they fall short.

MSC Cruises - I really liked the unusual and upbeat entertainment. The ship was immaculate. I also found the line to be the most authentic "Italian" experience at sea since Home Lines, Sitmar, and Costa (when it was actually Italian).
