This is the second time I have noticed that she has docked on the backside of Dodge Island instead of along the main ship channel. Is there any particular reason, as she is the only ship in port today.

That is the terminal Crystal uses when in Miami. Oceania as well as Azamara often use this terminal as well although they have also used the larger terminals. If you see the starboard cam you can see the Royal Caribbean HQ's.

THANKS Carlos for the quick reply. I had seen other small cruise ships dock there in the past (on AIS) but didn't realize there was a fully functional dedicated terminal there as well, maybe thinking instead it was a ramp like when you get off in Nassau or other ports of call.

That is Terminal J, formerly known as Terminal 12, and was built in the early 1990s to accommodate Majesty Cruise Line's ROYAL MAJESTY.

That's right Rich, we left out of that side terminal on the ROYAL MAJESTY, it was really unique, we could also see the BRITANIS across from us.
