My favorite ship.....although I haven't been aboard since the big re-fit. I hated when they extended the exercise room which interfered with the Crow's Nest. I'd like to book the Transatlantic this summer, but it goes the wrong way. I want to do it round-trip beginning in NYC. It requires flights the way it's set up!

What's a MUTS???????

I haven't been on her since '04, so I can't remember if that was before or after the refit.

Dirk - I think HAL does do a round trip Trans Atlantic from NYC but I believe it's on the Maasdam. Don't quote me on that but check either their web site or look at a brochure.

The re-built aft decks sure damaged her good looks. Rotterdam was an attractive ship as built but now she looks pretty bad w/that high rear end.

Yes, the stern is not nearly as pretty as it was as built.

Diane.....yes, Maasdam does a transat, but it's longer. Friends went a couple of years ago and it was 35 days or so. Thanks for the suggestion. As to the re-fit, I think it was done after 2004 when they extended the health facilities and put in those huge windows. The latest re-fit looks great in pictures....on the inside.
