Hey everyone

We went to Copenhagen yesterday, and watch the 6 cruise ships that lay in the harbour . We also went to Tivoli

Ships in the order they sailed, Rotterdam, Crown of Scandinavia, MSC Orchestra, MSC Poesia, Norwegian Sun, Emerald Princess and Costa Luminosa

Pictures can be seen here. https://picasaweb.google.com/olsen.dk1/6CruiseshipsInCopenhagen04062011#

There are also pictures from our other cruises
So I hope you enjoy it.

However a little drama as Costa Luminosa should sail a small boat blocked the exit with engine failure. Another small motorboat was quick to react and dragged him away. It lasted probably 10-15 minutes while Costa Luminosa was a full stop and waited.

A boy and a girl (9 years and 5 years) enjoyed it. They just return from there 7 cruises. 2 times its year. One with the Costa Magica and one with the Vision of the Seas. I hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as we do

greeting Olsen family Denmark

The bridge on Crown of Scandinavia is very different. Somehow looks tacked on. The sloping windows upward-never have seen that before.

Crown of Scandinavia sails between Copenhagen and Oslo which is a ferry crossing of 17 hours. A lot of Scandinavians use it as a 2 day mini cruise to and from Oslo/ Copenhagen. Lots of companies organise seminars on board etc.

I used the service a lot when I also worked in Copenhagen. You leave Oslo 5pm, relax, have dinner, good night sleep, breakfast. Arrival around 9am next morning and around 930 I started working in the office. Far much better than getting up very early and struggle with airports and flights..

Food is not inclusive in the fare (like on all ferry services) but it's of a high quality

So it's like what I did once between Zeebrugge (Belgium) and Hull (UK), the ship leaves Belgium at 19.00 and arrives in Hull around 06.30, they also advertise it as mini-cruises.

I 'm going to do another one like this on the new Stena Line ferries between Hoek van Holland and Harwich, I booked the nightsailing again for next month.
