On NRK2 started this evening (Norwegian time) more than 5 days with the costal express (Hurtigruten) non stop on TV.
Not sure if IP's outside Norway are blocked.
If not here is the adress:
http://nrk.no/hurtigruten/#t=13400

Enjoy.

FYI.

Through day one 1.3 million Norwegians has been watching this program for a shorter or longer time.

From NRK.:

Material from the Hurtigruten minute by minute project is shared with a Creative Commons Attribution - Share Alike License - you'll find the license for use explained at the bottom of this page.

Video from the forward facing camera will be made available in full HD 1920x1080 for download via BitTorrent shortly after each ship landing. You'll find links to the torrents on this page, or you can subscribe to the RSS.
Current available torrents:

Images are added to the Flickr photostream continuously, the stream is here: flickr.com/photos/nrkbeta/sets/72157626943504450/

Data from the ship's systems will be rendered after the voyage and will be available for download in JSON format on this page.

Competition A jury consisting of swell people from NRK will select the best mashup project based on content from Hurtigruten. Submissions must comply with the Creative Commons BY-SA license terms, be available for evaluation and be submitted to remix@nrkbeta.no by September 1st 2011. The first prize is a gift card, good for travel in Norway, with a value of Norwegian Kroner 8,040 (that's one kroner per minute), approx €1,000. Go create!
License for use

The license for using the material will be the same as for Bergensbanen, Creative Commons BY-SA, which means:
You are free to...

to Share — to copy, distribute and transmit the work.
to Remix — to adapt the work

You can edit the work, color correct it, put on graphics, play backwards, anything, as long as you follow the terms in the license.
Under the following conditions...

Attribution — You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).

All your derivative works must be marked with the URL to http://nrkbeta.no/hurtigruten. If you make something for the web, the link should be clickable. Videos should have both a clickable link in the text description and this text superimposed at the end:

"Hurtigruten" - NRK http://nrkbeta.no/hurtigruten

Failing to do this, is a breach of terms.

Share Alike — If you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may distribute the resulting work only under the same, similar or a compatible license.

Everything you make from our work, must have the same Creative Commons license. Which rules out using other people's work (unless they also are Creative Commons or similiar), because you have to share your work with the same license.
Commercial use

The work is also licensed for commercial use. But again, you have to make your work available with the same Creative Commons license.
Summary

You can share and remix the work - also commercially - as long as you credit NRK and link to http://nrkbeta.no/hurtigruten, and use the same Creative Commons license on your work. For any reuse or distribution, you must make clear to others the license terms of this work. The best way to do this, is with a link to this web page.

Thank you so much for posting the link.
I have been watching throughout the day.
Also passed it on to cruise folk in Australia and NZ.
Just watched the Captain dock the ship in Trondheim...from the bridge.
Amazing.

Yes it's today i found something to download. One bad thing about this Flash based tv show is that my hard drive is full and it was very triky to clean it, but after some hours of panic i found and used CCleaner to claen my computer and now the awesome show may continue.

PS! if somebody have a same problem use CCleaner (www.ccleaner.com)

This afternoon I walked past an Oslo bar which had the program on a big screen :-)

It is turning into a national event. Every little town is coming out in great numbers to greet the ship. There is a huge sense of national pride here, a lot of people waving Norwegian flags.
Last night Nordnorge was welcomed and send off in Molde by a flotilla of boats. You see people on bridges, little islands waving at the ship.

I suppose this must be the biggest TV commercial ever, just imagine how much a continuous 5 day commercial will cost.
Hurtigruten receives a large annual subsidy from the Norwegian State because it's important to service all the small communities along the route. NRK on the other hand is our public broadcaster which has no commercials at all (same as in Sweden or BBC) So at last I get my share of my annual licence fee :-)

They just met up with a sister ship headed in the opposite direction and are going crazy. Incredible to watch. Do people sleep over their though, they were pulling into ports at 4am and 5:30am and people were everywhere. Now it's 8:30am and everyone's up on deck. I know the sun rises early this time of year but when are they sleeping.

This is indeed a 'problem' when going to Norway by ship during the summer - there is always something to see and it's always bright. At least for me this can be very exhausting since I am not disciplined enough to 'let go' and walk to my cabin to sleep while fantastic scenery passes by in daylight . Beside that, some might actually find it difficult to fall sleep if the shades in the (outside) cabin don't block the light properly. Usually you might go to bed again when you wake up too early (since it's dark) but on such a trip there is always the temptation to stay up and go outside - especially if you e.g. saw something from your cabin.

I have gone on fishing trips near the Artic Circle. We would fish till midnight(still very light out) . We had to put black plastic bags over the windows to make the room in the cabin dark enough to sleep.
Then we would get up at 7 AM to get ready for more fishing. If your a fisherman this is the place to go.
It was quiet and serene up there. No noise etc.
One thing that did bother me was the occasional airliner at 30+ thousand feet doing the Artic Circle route to the Far East.
