COSTA FAVOLOSA was handed over yesterday, June 30, 2011, at Fincantieri's Marghera yard near Venice. The naming ceremony will be on July 2nd at Trieste.

Exactly. Virtually interchangeable with any Carnival ship. When Costa started designing and decorating their ships exactly like Carnival Cruise Lines (no separate identity), I thought the reason had to be so they could interchange the ships depending on which brand was performing better at any given time. I also didn't think Europeans would liken to the 'Vegas at sea' design and atmosphere. So far I have been proven wrong on both counts.

Cruising is still not very mainstream here in Europe, so lots and lots of first timers. RCL and NCL are very popular with Scandinavians these days.
