I cannot think of the name quickly I think someone posted a series of photos from their father [who was working there] not long after the completion of refurbishment a few months back?

Thats the one. Didn't get a chance to go in, the photo was taken whilst sailing by. Curious notion for a building though!

It reminds of the old Coca Cola bottling plant in L.A. designed to resemble a 1930s ocean liner.

The location of this ship-building is the former Taikoo Docyard, which was owned by HW, so when they reeveloped the site they built a ship-like building to remind people of the past - anyway, it makes a nice chaneg from the surrounding apartments.

A bit off-topic, but this thread reminds me of those great adverts that American Hawaii Cruises ran in the 1980s, placing one of their ships ashore in the middle of Waikiki. This ad is from March, 1985:

They also had a great one of the Liberte coming out of a Tahitian Island too. Do you have that one Rich as well?

I always loved this "bridge" that looms over the New Jerey Turnpike in southern NJ. It is for Aegis System testing, but I think it looks cool.

When GRAND PRINCESS was introduced Princess had a cool ad of the ship sitting in a NY street. Many years ago Costa also printed a postcard of the CARLA C sailing down a major street in NY. It was to announce they were moving offices. Pretty clever I thought.
