No Mike she's not a HAL liner. Maasdam 3 was original a two funnel liner but after the refit she looses here dummy.
Michael
She was build as transat liner she hoisted the Greek, Dutch, Italian flag at the end she was owned by a French line.
This looks to me like the MACEDONIA of 1912 (National Greek Line.) In 1916 sold to the Dutch, keeping her name. Sold to Italy in 1921 and renamed PINZIO; scrapped in Italy 1932. I'm not sure about the French connection, though, so perhaps I'm wrong.

And we have a winner.
Rich you are right it's the Macedonia. She was build fore National Greek Line and made only 3 round trips to New York. When the Greek Turkish war broke out she was heavily damaged and finally sold to N. HAAS & Co Amsterdam the company was formed by an old Holland America Line employee.
After a large refit at the Wilton Fijenoord Yard it was to dangerous to sail with passengers to New York due to WW1. She did sail only with freight and she was hit by serious engine problems. She went back to Wilton and during here stay there a fire broke out. Here owners decided to put here up fore sale. The war ended and competition from larger lines specially the Holland America Line was a big problem. And HAAS & Co went in bankruptcy. When in 1921 Lloyd Latino showed interest she was sold of quickly. She sailed till 1932 as Pinco.
Rich Lloyd Latino was a subsidiary of Société Générale de Transports Maritimes
So Rich you won everlasting FAME.
