I understand that the OOTS and AOTS have a seperate dock. I did a Google Earth and it looks like the dock is close to the downtown shopping area in St. Thomas.
One had to take a taxi from the Havensite Mall dock area to go downtown.
Am I correct on this??

Yes, any cruise ship piered at the Havensight Shopping Mall; you can get a taxi and go straight into town from there.
As to the new pier where OOTS & AOTS, I'm sure you can get taxis there too. I'm more familiar with the Havensight Mall pier, nice shopping there and A. H. RIIS liqour store is across the street from the mall.

I was there last week aboard Ruby Princess, and have been there before. There are many shops on the pier, just like at Havensite. I walked into town, about 2 miles of level walking with good sidewalks. Friends took a taxi for $4.00 per person. Lots of taxi's at the dock with very good dispatching into shared taxis (safari bus and van types). There is a Publix grocery store nearby if needed. This dock is often refered to as "the sub base" by locals, although the cruises lines refer to it as Crown Bay. Norwegian uses the dock sometimes, as well as Holland and Cunard.

The Oasis and Allure dock at Crown Bay. Taxis are $4.00 per person. There are a few shops at Crown Bay but it's nothing like Havensight. By the way, there is not a Publix. They are only in the southeast U.S. it's. Pueblo Market.

Sorry about the store's name. The sign is green, the logo the same, and to a Canadian tourist it sure looked like a Pulix.

Thanks for the info. Can't wait till June for OOTS.
Goofy weather ,been cold ,just officially had 1" of snow so far. Ice storm coming tonight and tomorrow. 55degrees on Tuesday then cold again.
