I know plenty of people have collections of ship models, but does anyone also have a collection of lighthouses? in the main French ones, Ar-men etc?

Hi Pam

I collect model lighthouses - especially French Atlantic coast lights. Ar-men, by amazing coincidence happens to be my favourite. My father bought me my first model from the Paris Maritime Museum. Later a friend discovered an on-line supplier of the models from the museum, but this provider is about to cease trading. The resin models are not stamped with a manufacturers name, but if any CTers could provide me the details of an alternative source for these models, I would be very grateful. Regular monthly trips to Paris are out of the question sadly.

I have a big collection of lighthouse but from the US. I obtained these from Hallmark,the greeting card company store. They are very detailed. Maybe they have the ones you are looking for??

I have a collection of around 60 Harbour Lights, all U.S. and mostly east coast lights. I also have a 9ft nautical Christmas tree and I have around 300-350 ornaments for it. Our whole family room is done in this theme. If you collect lighthouse items check out Lighthouse Depot in Wells Maine or their website. They have everything you can imagine for the lighthouse collector!
